Here at Real Estate Rumble, we don’t just hate bad MLS pictures. We LOVE charity.
Every year, I ride in the Hill Country Ride for AIDS, an Austin cycling event that raising money for 10 nonprofit that help people living with AIDS or HIV. It’s an incredibly fun ride that directly helps people who struggle with this disease.
Until recently, I thought having AIDS was no big deal if you took the medications. How wrong I was. Not long ago, I wrote a story about Dr. Kenneth Blair, an Austin physician who treated people with AIDS and was infected with the disease in 1994 when he was stuck with a needle. He died in November of complications mostly caused by the drugs he had taken for more than a decade.
This year, I want to raise $5,000 for the Hill Country Ride for AIDS. If you enjoy this site, I hope you’ll consider donating a few dollars right here: http://bit.ly/9FReP3
